Thanks to the Lower Eastside Girls Club, I get to hang out with my friend Maria Paula once a month and teach her how to do cool stuff, like weave scarves and make jewelry, while also talking about how a 10-year-old girl from Queens can conquer the world. (She is going to be a rock star, btw.)
